I'll give it a try. I'd guess though that a more elegant fix will eventually be needed not just for me but also for the other users working directly off a NAS.
- Silent client PVR: HDPlex HS.1 aluminium fanless case / Thin-ITX ASRock H81TM-ITX motherboard / Intel Celeron 1850T CPU / 4GB RAM / 120GB SSD / TBS6982 DBS-S2 dual-tuner card / Win10+nPVR+Plex Media Player feeding LG OLED55B6V + Anthem MRX510 AV Receiver / PMC GB1 / B&W / REL speakers.
- Noisy NAS: Xeon / Intel mobo / 16GB RAM / FreeNAS + Ubuntu VMs on VMware ESXi + 12TB RAID
running Plex Media Server

My Client and server are also connected via a Gigabit Switch.

It was at about 07:48:50 when the message appeared. Log attached.

I must say - before the update it did take some time to load up as a Client but this version loads up much quicker. Perhaps that's where the issue lies?

I did recently add the logos as well - perhaps it would help to copy these locally as well since it looks there anyway?

I will try your suggestion first johnsonx42 and revert.

Just tried by renaming then replacing the client C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\NPVRTSReader2.ax file but same message appears.

I also tried doing the same on the server as well but no joy.

It really does load up faster than it did before (which is a great thing) but I wonder if the code is referencing objects which aren't quite ready on start-up.

If I can assist any more with testing just le me know.

@turbofeet - the npvrtsreader2.ax swap was for liteswap, it's not related to your problem. please put yours back.

(yes, liteswap inadvertently hijacked your thread, I'm sure he's very, very sorry Big Grin)

and by the way [sorry in advance, this is me after midnight, my online persona seems to find things very annoying after midnight - RANT ON], but what's it going to take to get people to post their entire logs folder instead of just picking out one log file? what, are you trying to save space? the damned things are a few hundred K at most once zipped up, I think sub's web server can handle it. maybe I just start deleting all posts with single log files attached (ok, of course not, but ARGH!).

speaking of hijacking ... johnsonx42, just curious because of some FF problems I am seeing with the 3.5.7 upgrade, what is the function of npvrreader2.ax anyway?

it does exactly what you would think - NPVRTSReader.ax reads .ts (transport stream) files for NPVR; it handles functions like skipping/seeking, and reads the timing.info ADS.

So, could the new version cause a few second stutter on skipping ahead, pause and resume - like i am seeing since upgrading to 3.5.7?
