I installed OE 6.0.3 because my Isengard testing was limited to Win32 and I believe I fixed the problem in 2.5.2 Could you update and let me know. With Kodi 16.2, 17.0 and 17.1 & 18. SPMC, plus OE and LE variants it is hard to stay on top users with older versions.

OK thanks for the help so far. I now have 2.5.2 installed and it does start. Additionally Resume is now working and I love the fact that I can now skip forward or back x number of minutes just like I can on my main NextPVR machine. (I hate the Kodi version of this)

However, navigation has become really (really) slow. I'm talking about 2-3 seconds from remote button press to screen response. Should I start a new thread for that?

I didn't see speed issue with my testing yesterday. Well I should say I saw typical slow 1 second screens that I expect with the RPi.

You seem to use the menu Exit option which can confuse x-newa and the logging if you don't have

<FakeExit>false</FakeExit>

Could you try that and resend the logs so I can map everything together.

What I did see is 5 keystrokes in 3 seconds which is might be too fast especially that repeated down arrow.

Perhaps record the time that the problems happen next time.

Thanks again for the help. While the Pi has been a little sluggish with the previous version of X-Newa, this update has drastically affected it. I'd be happy to post a couple of videos showing the comparison if that would be helpful.

I changed the config.xml file to <FakeExit>false</FakeExit> as suggested, restarted the server and then the Pi. At 11:47 I went into recordings, then went down about 5 items waiting each time for the screen to respond (IE I only did 1 push per screen update). Additional I noticed that the display actually went completely blank on 3 occasions for 2-3 seconds before returning.

Logs attached and thanks again for your help

Not sure what to say When I see these lines

Those repetitions of u'needsRendering': False} tell me that you are waiting extra seconds after a keystroke GUI update for a screen change that isn't coming from NextPVR.

Hmmm. I don't for the life of me know where else it might be wanting screen refresh from? My setup is dead simple. 1 thing that might be worth a mention is that my remote is my tv remote and it talks to my Pi via CEC. I could try a mouse / keyboard plugged into the Pi for a comparison?

I didn't download it because I believe you and stustunz also had the same problem with OE Since I don't see it on my RPi I can only suggest upgrading to a newer version of OE or LE. From your post you see the screen goes blank I suggest those may be failed screen updates not blank screens. One test you could do is copy the saved NextPVR screen images from the PI to your PC after a session of navigation to see if they show movement ./kodi/cache/x-newa/emulate*.png if any are blank or bad format there might be something to look for.

One thing I noticed is your needsRendering gets stuck. Could you change your screen saver to None or Fixed.

There is no newer version of OE that's the problem.
