4.0.4 Skips Hang Playback

and it did it again....same show...locked while just playing for several minutes..
logs seem to always end on a pause...? tho i'm sure i didn't pause anytime near this..
mpeg2 video, ac3 audio, MS decoder, win7

it did it again, crash while watching in-progress video..
this time i know i didn't hit any keys near 20:57...but it ends with a 'stop' and deletes playback position?
cpu,normally at 6-16% jumps up to 35% when hung

just locked up in less than a minute after starting program.. grrr... went straight to play in-progress show and after a few secs, lock.
another mysterious 'pause' msg to end logs...i just started watching a few seconds earlier!
doesn't seem like a glitch in video either...doesn't happen twice in same place..

and this is with old reader! so no temp fix i can think of...

oh and i changed decoders to eliminate that as cause..[to cyberlink pdvd] same..

went back to new ts reader and so far no lockups..except when skipping too much..
[it's SO tempting now that it's so fast! lol]

a day later w new reader and no lockups... so playback lockups probably on old reader only..haven't had *any* w new reader if not skipping to cause it..

oh and one more thing, the new tsreader doesn't play in-progress recordings properly, timeline updates, but you can't skip past the 'live' point you came in on..
playback past initial 'live' point is fine, but skips bring you back to where it was 'live' when you started watching..

the old reader does this fine..

I'v seen this too, but if I stop and resume playback it normally resumes at the correct point, do you see the same?

Had another hang this afternoon, while watching a recording. Pressed the button to skip ahead, the screen froze and the remote would no longer respond. Forced NPVR to close and then restarted it, only to have it hang again when I selected "resume". On the next attempt the recording continued.

Logs attached. Events were happening around 5:17PM.

The work around for now is enabling the legacy reader + demux on the Settings->Decoders screen.
