Next up would be creating a c:\temp directory, and setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR\LogDemux=1 (DWORD), then start live tv, and collect the logs, and c:\temp\demux.txt and post them.

Changing decoders didn't help. Logs + demux.txt attached.

I tried the new patch from the other thread, but it didn't help. I could grab logs if you'd like, but it was the same symptoms.

Can you post a new set of logs, including demux.txt using this updated reader?

BTW, I should mention, it's important to turn off the LogDemux registry settings when you're done collecting logs. It can generate a lot of disk activity and can interfere with the smooth running of other things.

Here's some updated logs.

This time around, I saw a pixelated frame which was updated every 3 seconds or so. I then skipped back, and playback seemed normal after that. These logs captured that behavior, so hopefully this can help!

If you now disable the demux.txt, does it still give this pixelated frame?

There is no display at all after disabling demux. (back to a black screen and no audio). Skipping back makes playback work normally. (the time line is messed up though, stays stuck at -00:00:05)

By disabling demux.txt, I meant deleting that LogDemux=1 registry setting. Is that what you did? Disabling this logging shouldn't have caused any difference to getting a picture and audio.

Yes, I deleted the registry key. I think the handful of pixelated frames was a fluke; I can no longer reproduce that regardless of having the registry key or not.

The playback behavior is consistent though, it takes a skip to start playback, and playback freezes after a few minutes necessitating another skip to resume playback. (and the timeline stays stuck on the OSD)
