setup with theatrix 550 pro and recording laserdiscs

theres only one problem with that.. when im in live tv mode, there are no controls displayed.. i can chaneg channels by using the up and down arrow keys, but nothing else.. is there some setting that i have to change to get the controls to appear on the screen liek they do when im playing back video on it?

You'll just have to press the keyboard equivalent of record 'ctrl-K'. 'ctrl-S' to stop.

ok, cool.. and for setting the quality, how do i set the quality when doing the live preview record thing? do i just change it in the manual record section and that will take care of it? forgive the endless lines of questioning.. hehee once i get it to record at the settings i want, then my questions will stop, promise
