Hmmm. It appears to work fine for me as well. What kind of configuration settings for the plugin are you using? That info may help in the debug.

Found a bug in the latest version. I select a show, cursor right so Remind is the rightmost button, cursor left once, then cursor right. Buttons on bottom are now Watch, Find More, Remind, and a blank area. Cursor left causes buttons to be drawn, but none of them are highlighted.

yes, I'm aware of this bug, and already spent an hour trying to fix it - without success, which made me really frustrated, so I never had a look at it again.

Hi,

4zm4r3d02 Wrote:I'm still getting the error "the type initializer for 'GBPVR.TVListings.Listings' threw an exception" whenever I try to use the TV Listings plugin with the Community WideScreen skin. TV Listings works fine when I use the Blue skin.

Is anybody able to use the TV Listings plugin with the Community WideScreen skin?

I also tried the "Community WideScreen skin" with the plugin and it worked flawlessly here, too. I'm sorry that I'm unable to tell you where your problem is - the logs just don't tell me enough.

the error occurs, because...

Anyway, you won't have success (that means a populated icon dictionary for use with the tv listings plugin) when running the xmltvicons utility against an "I-Xmltv" file, because the zap2it data doesn't support the <icon> element in the xmltv output.

The alternative is to put images into a so called ressource directory. You can find some information in this thread or at the wiki page of the plugin.

Forgive me for not understanding but reading the description about the "additional resource directory", how would one name the icons/pictures that represent the channels ?

sorry - but what is a "callsign"? Is this us-specific? Maybe you can try and explain your wish in another way.

Hey alibert, the callsign I refer to is the channel name, ie WFFF is the US fox station in Rochester Ny. or TLC, DISC (for discovery), or SCIFI for (Scifi channel)

The behavour in the default listings looks for both "122 SCIFI.jpg" and "SCIFI.jpg" I was wonding if yours could do the same. lots of reasons why this is a good thing Smile

thanks again btw I love your plugin Smile

In one of your posts you mentioned that you had the images working... Can you give some details here please.

yes I have images working now with zap2it guide using TVGuide Supercharger http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...percharger and the utility program image tool http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...mImageTool.

I run xmltv everyday to populate the guide database, then use program image tool to populate the images for tvlistings images directory. The channel logos can be put into the regular channel logo directory. For the logos to show up in tv listings you need to make sure they are named like "122 SCIFI.jpg" or whatever channel numner/channel name you have.

Cheers

I noticed that the Community WideScreen skin was recently updated, so I re-downloaded it and the TV Listings plugin from the wiki, re-installed them both, and now they are working together.

Thanks to everyone for their help on this.

Hi,

Smoker Wrote:Forgive me for not understanding but reading the description about the "additional resource directory", how would one name the icons/pictures that represent the channels ?

Images for channel logos (e.g. "BBC.png") should be placed into "\gbpvr\media\channellogos". Images for programmes (e.g. "Derrick.jpeg") should be placed into the directory that is specified at "additional resource directory" in the configuration of the plugin.

One more question - when you open config.exe and switch to the "Channels" tab, do your channel names (first column) have leading digits?
