Can BurnDVDX2 use DivX (avi) files instead of MPG files when creating DVDs?

I would like to start have GBPVR convert its records to DivX (avi) format in order to save disk space. Currently I am unable to see any of the DivX (avi) recorded files in BurnDVDX2's file lists.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Is there a way to reduce the volume level of the splash screen?

I like the splash screen but the volume level seem to be way too loud.

It only uses MPG. You would need to convert to MPG and then run burndvdx2

Not really any way in the existing plugin to change the volume.
However you can replace the splash screen with your own.
The splash screen is in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\burndvd
It is called splash.mpg.

I created it using Nero Vision which is a very simple tool to create special effects.

Sorry for the late reply.
It would need to have a compatible version of the cmdline version (nerocmd). At one point I tried to use a newer version of nerocmd and there were issues with the command sequence.
Do you know if the free version includes nerocmd?

I'm having a problem with shrinking DVD project greater than 4.7G. I have installed ShrinkDVD (3.2?) and have been able to shrink a couple of projects but most of the time (90%) I get an error when encoding. The error message is something like "Invalid handle". This error occurs anywhere from 2% to 99% completed during the encoding process.

Can anyone provide some help of troubleshooting why this happens?

Thanks for any help.

Not sure if this is what is going on but the DVD shrink implementation requires you to not use the HTPC when it is running since it fills the keys in to DVD shrink as it is running. If the menus move it won't fill the keys in correctly. Could this be happening?
You can create a file structure and use DVDshrink offline as an alternative

That message does sound more like an issue with DVD shrink. Create a file structure and then run DVDshrink separately to verify.

I have ran DVD Shrink separately and still have the problem. BurnDVDX2 seems to be working fine.

The problems does seem to be DVD Shrink. I have uninstalled and reinstalled DVD Shrink. I have also download DVD Shrink again (from a different source I think) and tried installing that as well. Still no luck.
