I did have a similar problem at one time. I had issues with my USB setup and the drive would go offline for a moment. Do you have any issues along those lines?

I don't seem to have any issues with USBs (at leat not that I'm aware of). Though I'm sure sure how that would relate in my case.

When using DVD Shrink both the soure and destination files are are on the local HD so DVD Shrink should be looking at any USB connections.

I've taken a brief look and did not see any log files for DVD Shrink. I was hoping there would be and maybe it would contain more information.

Any other suggestions?

I'm trying to include a picture for the show on the menu of the DVD.

I've been able to include the in\mage for the show but I've had to manually rename the image file to be the same name as the mpg file.

Is there some way to get BurnDVDX2 to use the image for the show located in the media\art folder like GBPVR does? Or is there some way to automate the process of including the shows image on the menu?

I've thought about editing the BuildDVD.cmd file but this file seems to get rebuild each time I burn a DVD.

Like you noticed the BuildDVD.cmd is rebuilt each time so that's not a good option. Aren't the jpgs for the show stored in the directory that contains the mpg?

The jpgs used by GBPVR are stored in the media/art folder. These images show up in multiple places such as TVGuide and TVRecordings. I have not been able to get any images from this folder to be used by BurnDVDX2.

I then tried coping the the image file to the folder where the MPG file was. I named it folder.jpg (folder being the directory where the MPG file is located). This did not work. I then renamed it to filename.jpg (filename being the filename of the MPG). This worked.

So yes I can store the image file in the directory where the MPG file is located. But in order to have the image file used by BurnDVDX2 I need to manually rename the file to the same filename as the MPG file.

It would be nice if BurnDVDX2 worked the same way GBPVR did and looked in the DB to determine what image file to use for a show. I think this would be the preferred way of dealing with this issue.

As a possible alternative (one that may add far more functionality and more problems) would be to allow a way of being able to make changes to the process that builds the BuildDVD.cmd file so that custom scripting could be included in the process - by doing so anyone would be able to add their own custom code to do additional task such as renaming image files to match MPG files.

If you have preview turned on and you choose not to burn the dvd, the builddvd.cmd file is still created. You can edit this and do whatever you like. Time is a little short right now to make changes to read in the artwork from media/art. Reading folder.jpg would be much simplier.

Hello,
Great plugin, thank you.

Does it now support dvr-ms files?

Great to know the I can edit the BuilDVD.cmd file at the preview point. I'll keep it in mind.

Reading folder.jog would be a great start. Maybe keep the reading of the media/art folder or DB on your to do list for when you have more time.

I'll wait for an update.

Thanks for all your time and effort on this plug-in.

No. The library that is used to navigate the file does not support dvr-ms. There was an open source project that looked promising but it seems to have stalled.

Adding folder.jpg is pretty simple so given a little time I should be able to get that released fairly soon.
