Do you just get this crash if you start playback and leave it playing? I'm about 7 minutes, and it hasn't crashed yet. I'll leave it playing though, since I haven't seen this episode.

If you create a c:\temp directory, when you get this message box, do you get a c:\temp\crash.mdmp? If so, please supply the file.

Actually - I was able to reproduce the crash with a Release build of the NPVRTSReader.ax. I'm looking into it.

Here is a sample video. It crashes every time about 4 minutes and latter also. It is on onedrive. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AuzYkZ_iUa4sgoEsR4gETDkBA9SHrQ. You first get a message box titled NVPR Crashed. With the message "error writing crash dump file" If you click on OK, you get a Windows message bock saying that NVPR is no longer responding and it closes the program.

Give this one a go. It fixes an issue where the application would try to process a transport stream packet that was marked by the capture card as having reception errors, and the garbage in this types of packages could cause unpredictable results. I can now play through the entire file with a release build.

I'm not surprised - these don't sound like they're at all related to that issue I quoted with that patch. Specifically, that patch fixes a bug where NextPVR freezes during playback and then crashes.

This build of the reader fixes an issue I found looking remotely at HarryH3's machine, that could cause a freeze during skipping. Give it a go to see if it helps.

This build also includes a couple of other recent fixes - corruption at the bottom of H.264 video frames, and a crash that could occur during reception issues.

sub, that version is occasionally corrupting the bottom 25% or so of the screen while playing back MPEG2 recordings. It really seems to freak out if there is a news ticker across the bottom of the screen. I've also had the freeze-on-skip a couple of times.

Hmm, oddly I'm still seeing this with the release build of the component. The debug build isn't doing this.
