I see no real way to fix this unless I "grep" on the channel descriptions to pick up the English one (assuming it's English that I want of course) and then assign it as a parameter for the decryption/conversion.
I am investigating how this can be done with a plugin friendly script.

That is what the audo identifier is for. Right now it is only available via the config screen. If this is a common problem, I suppose it is something that could be moved to the plug-in screen.
