I noticed this too that the Pending recording times were off, but everything seems to be recording and playing correctly.

Seems like the zip is corrupt. It fails opening.

And I have the same problem with deleting a failed recording from within the GUI. I run GBPVR 0.97.13.

Unfortunately I'm a total n00b when it comes to tinkering with SQLite, which I use...

Any help pls? TIA.

Never mind. Unzipped it using winrar, should've read the other posts first.

Anyway, when moving the new dll to the gbpvr-folder and try to start the recording service, the service exits with a message that the service might occasionally stop and exit when it doesn't have anything to do. I find this weird. Besides the fixed dll in the zip is 140kB compared to the original 400-something kB. Is this really right?

TIA.

If you downloaded a "corrupt" zip file and used Winrar to open it, inside you will find a zip file (140k as I recall) which you need to open to access the dll. The file inside is something like 438k. I would guess that is why your service is exiting. It's having a hard time running a zip file. Smile

Brian

I used SQLIte Spy to run the command "delete from RECORDING_SCHEDULE where programme_oid='6968';" and pressed ctrl-f9. In the spy the offending row was gone. I then saved the changed db and started the recording service, then the gui. At which point it failed and exited.

I then stopped the recording service again and copied back a working db3-file, but which still contained the failed recordings and restarted the service and gui. Both started properly, but the failed recordings are off course still there.

Am I doing anything wrong here? I assume this is where the failed records are kept, right? I also assume that choosing the delete of the cells by programme-oid is correct too.

I know this is really off-topic as SQLite is not part of GBPVR, but pls, if someone can help me, pls do give me a hint. I'm at the end of the road here.

TIA.

Ahhh!! It's a zip inside a zip. Ok, will try again! Thx for the pointer!

I unzipped the zip twice and copied the dll to the gbpvr-folder. After this I connected to the webadmin-interface and deleted the failed records, ie it worked! I feel very much happier!

Awesome Sub! 8-D

However, (yeah I know...) I have some recordings that are good but don't show up in the recordings panel.

Is there a way to import these somehow to the db and gbpvr? I noticed in the config-applet that there is an import-thingie on the plugins tab, but clicking import, it asks for a xml-file. What xml-file would that be?? The wiki doesn't mention it either AFAICS.

TIA.

BTW, the first unzip showed only a gbpvrcommonbackend-something-file w/o a file-extension. That was what throwed me off-track. I just took that 140k file and added a dll-extesion to it. No wonder it failed. Didn't occur to me at all to open it with notepad and check the first bytes for an identifier. <n00b-like> Rolleyes
