Hi,

agerdin Wrote:Thanks for a plugin I have been waiting for. Just a couple of questions. Is there/will there be support for additional XMLTV tag such as the example below?
Since the gbpvr-database is limited to a few tags (title, subtitle, description, genre, rating), I'm also not able to display more of them. The only exception are the icons, where the plugin is using an external file.
In Theory, one could create a similar file for each additional xmltv-tag - but that wouldn't make sense in my opinion.
In the past I used a xslt-stylesheet to put things like actors or directors into the description tag (see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=10516 for details).

agerdin Wrote:Also, are there any plans to implement possibility to do IMDB or Amazon lookup for movies etc. Similar to the lookup Reven does in his MyVideos plugin.
No, at least not at the moment.

Jim_ Wrote:zehd & Albert,
I haven’t had a chance to upgrade and install this yet, but I’ve been trying to follow the threads to see if there is a way to use the TV Listings icon feature.
Been doing yard work and other stuff this weekend, and wanted to delay upgrading / changing until the snow flys, when I have more (forced) indoor time. Wink
But I’ll try to answer any questions I can.

TVGuideSupercharger outputs, and config.xml points to, “TVGuide.xml”.
Albert, Do you check config.xml for the xmltv path & filename, or is it hard coded?
There’s only a xmltv.log in the I-xmltv folder that contains xmltv download messages.
But xmltv files downloaded from zap2it don’t contain icon information. That’s why people are requesting an “art” folder for icons, we have to download them manually.

PS
Put me on the list for genre color-coding, I like to color code a few of my favorite types.

Jim

Thanks for confirming that I-XMLTV doesn't do icons, because zap2it doesn't do them. I'll stop banging my head and start looking into that 'art' stuff you're talking about

Two things:
1) Maybe I'm missing something, but how do you get the "favorites" feature to work? where do I control what is favorite and what's not?
2) How can I replace the mini-guide with this one?
* Rogers Analog Cable [Canada]
* Hauppauge WintTV PVR USB2
* IBM Thinkpad T42 / 1GB Mem / Centrino 1.6Ghz / 60GB HD / ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 + VGA/DVI out
* MCE Remote + Keyboard
* Win XP SP2 / GBPVR [Latest version. always]
* Pioneer HDTV via VGA (1360x768)
* MS Remote Keyboard
* Logitech Harmony 880 [via MS Remote Control Reciever]

You can control which channel is 'favourite' and which one is not in the config-app of GBPVR, at the 'Channels' tab page. Then, to hide the non-favourite-channels, select 'Only show favourite channels in guide' in the configuration form of the plugin.

This is not possible at the moment.

another request:
the main "TV Guide" plugin has the ability to quickly jump to a channel by inputting the channel number and then hitting ok, eg to jump to channel 22 you can push:
"2" "2" "OK"
any chance of adding this to tv listings?

This is already included, with one difference: You do not need the enter-key. Just type "2" "2", and you'll be taken directly to channel number 22. If you have any channels between 220 and 229, you'll be taken to 22 after a second, if no other digit is pressed.

Hi

Just wanted to tell you that all channels shows in the grid, even the disabled ones.
Enabling "show only favorites" does not make any difference.
I use your latest version with the MDB support.
Best Regards

MixMan,

I'm sorry to say that I checked again and didn't find anything that prevents the plugin from loading only the favourite channels, when using the access database.

If you have a copy of access installed you can try and check if the following sql-statement only returns the favourite channels from your gbpvr.mdb:
Code:
SELECT DISTINCT channel.oid, channel.name, channel.channel_number
FROM channel LEFT JOIN source_channel_mapping
ON channel.oid = source_channel_mapping.channel_oid
WHERE source_channel_mapping.enabled='Y'
AND channel.favourite_channel='Y'
ORDER BY channel.channel_number;

I'm not an expert at dbms, so it could also be that something is wrong with the statement - if so, please tell me.
