I am not using blue, but using the community skin, and I had to copy the skins from the blue folder. Works great right now.

thanks for the support.

Bug found with skiptool on older comskip files with no rate parameter.
Attached is v1.0.0.6 of the dll. The install file has been updated on the wiki if you prefer that route.
Unpack the dll into plugins/burndvdx2

Just been trying out your cool plugin but its not playing nicely for me.

Install seems to go Ok, but when I click Ok in config/settings I get an "Object reference not set to an intance" message. It also falls over in the PVRX2 when I select the plugin. I'm using the regular Blue skin.

Here's a cut from my pvrx2.exe log.

Do you get the error when you press the ok from the burndvdx2 settings menu, or from the config ok button?
Look in the gbpvr\skin2\burndvdx2 folder what is in there?
Look in the gbpvr\plugins\burndvdx2 folder. What version is the burndvdx2 plugin.
Check the versions of the dlls that are listed as requirements on the wiki to make sure you are ok there.
What is in the burndvdx2 section of config.xml?
Post your config and pvrx2 logs.

Try this dll it has additional debug for the exeception error.
stop pvrx2
Unzip to the gbpvr\plugins\burndvdx2 directory
delete your logs
start pvx2
get the error to happen.
post your logs.
Thanks

Thanks for your quick reply Pastro...

Do you get the error when you press the ok from the burndvdx2 settings menu, or from the config ok button?
>> From the burndvdx2 settings menu.

Look in the gbpvr\skin2\burndvdx2 folder what is in there?
>> some xml files, jpg's, 10 files in total, all looks Ok.

Look in the gbpvr\plugins\burndvdx2 folder. What version is the burndvdx2 plugin.
>> Just dropped in your new logging dll, same problem.

Check the versions of the dlls that are listed as requirements on the wiki to make sure you are ok there.
>> Got WizUiHelper.dll version 1.0.12.0 and CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll 3.0.2822.33715.

What is in the burndvdx2 section of config.xml?
<BurnDVDX2>
<TempDirPath>C:\temp</TempDirPath>
<BurnDrive />
</BurnDVDX2>

Post your config and pvrx2 logs.
>> Attached.

I am trying the plugin out on a laptop, which I have to admit isn't fully set up (no tuner, no DVD writer). Would this make any difference..? I tend to play safe with my GBPVR machine and trial new stuff out first. If this might be causing the problem then don't waste too much time on it.

Thanks again.

This looks like an excellent utility. Any possibility that you could make it work from a GBPVR Client? My main GBPVR machine is in the bedroom closet and usually busy recording/serving up recordings and my best DVD writer is on my development machine (also a GBPVR Client). I tried BurnDVDX2 on my client machine and it installed easily and displayed the folder names of all the folders from my server machine. Unfortunately, it never displayed any on the actual recording files (all DVR-MS). Either it could not find the recordings or it does not like DVR-MS files. Also, I move recordings from the main recordings folder to other hard drives on the server nightly to balance storage and there does not appear to be any way to browse the secondary hard drives (DB points to the proper locations).

Thanks for your work!

Right now it only selects files with an mpeg extension. I'll see if I can find a small dvr-ms file and see what needs to happen to add support.
I believe it should work over the network as a client and should open remote files, but you might have to be already connected to the remote drive. Check if you can see the files if you mount the remote drive.
EDIT: I mounted a remote drive and I could see and use the files and navigate fine. If I set the recordings dir to a remote machine it will initially start in that directory but once I back out of that dir you can't go back. I'll look into that.
