Peterh,

No error messages of any kind and no pictures. Everything seemed to be fine throughout the config process. Just the business about no tuners available after I started GB-PVR and tried to watch TV.

Stustunz,

This evening I'll take another look for the Sage TV installer. If I can find that, I'll then remove both WinTV2K and Sage. In the meantime, I did check both apps and processes in Task Manager and didn't see anything relating to either program, at least nothing that I recognized anyway.

this question never got answered

when you selected the card in config did the card show up when you ticked only show cards on this machine ?

the box im talking about is when you selected your card cause if it doesnt show up there then gbpvr is not seeing it plus just incase your card is showing up as something else (not likely) but you never know

Yes, I do have Power DVD v.5.0 installed. As to the other question, yes my card shows up when I check the box "only show cards on this machine".

well if its showing up then it should work
just last night one of my tuners wouldnt start and as soon as i removed power dvd restarted everything was good again ive always had trouble with one tuner not always starting and i read somewhere about power dvd and tuners so i thought i would give it a go and it seemed to work may have nothing to do with it but worth a try you can reinstall after

but im still placing my bets on the other program not releasing the tuner but that would normally show in your logs

I rarely use Power DVD now so I'll uninstall it and see if it's the source of the problem.

For some reason, the system (gbpvr.com) won't allow me to upload the file gbpvr.db3. I've tried three times without success. It's 2.5 MB in zipped format but I thought the limit for zip files was higher than that.

Well, Power DVD was not the problem. Just ran GB-PVR and when I try to watch TV, I still get the message about no tuners being available. I'll try removing WinTV2k and see what happens. Still haven't found the Sage TV Recorder installer yet so I'm holding off on uninstalling it. If I can't find it, I'll just back up Drive C and the partition that the software is on, then remove it. It would be nice if I could just call up the software developer and ask for a replacement but it doesn't work that way! Smile
