Hi Colin,

I hope you enjoyed your day at the Zoo.

Have you had any luck yet getting the WOL to work?

The zoo was great - the African section is only open 6 months of the year so we go to see that bit, plus there is now an australian section. Very goodSmile

I have been messing with this stuff on and off and i'm in the process of just trying to fully understand the building and packaging of the kernel to create the dongle.bin.

I tried using the telnetd version of shspvr.com but this did not work with GBPVR. I haven't tried it with the hauppauge stuff, but i don't really care about it.

I reckon the actual monitoring of the log file and sending the WOL is pretty straight forward, sorting out a working kernel is more difficult. Should have more time this week to play with it.

Cheers,
Colin.

Hi Colin,

You have possibly throught of this, but there would need to be an option ,to input/ configure different MAC Addresses as they are all different.

Thanks for the link - interesting reading. I played a bit last night getting a kernel built. You would think disassembling a dongle.bin and putting it back together again would be simple.

Anyway, we'll get there eventually,

Colin.
