sub, i just made a real screenshot with EVR enabled in "AUTO" Configuration with F7. Screen Resolution is 1280 x 720 and the Movie has 720 x 576 (PAL @ 25 FPs) at MPEG-2. But this will be displayed:

I will now check XviD coded Video.

EDIT: ALL formats have this look. Live TV, XviD, MPEG-2, OGM...

Here are my logs. The other problem is the OSD for Resume/Restart doesn't show. I thought the video had locked up.

Bigbus

I noticed the same issue. I'm not getting that option or the bottom video title displayed. I am getting the top OSD display with the video timestamp however when I press FF/RW or pause.

Just tested my other 2 PC's here. The picture on these systems are a lot better, but not as good as with VMR9. The picture is never filled to the whole display.
The setup, where the display is better:
Aspect Ratio 4:3 (instead 16:9)
Resolution 1280 x 1024 (instead 1280 x 720)
GeForce G7x

I got it regardless of the decoder. Tried Nvidia, Cyberlink and ArcSoft for sure. I can't remember if I tried any others.

Did you guys install .NET 3.0? I noticed some confusion regarding it's necessity (sub forgot to mention it in the announcement) but it is required if you plan to use EVR. Check out the bottom of This Thread where EVR is discussed.

The aspects are working fine for me in MPEG2 on my XP setup (see sig). EVR is also perfectly smooth, but I loose the Purevideo codec's hardware deinterlacing which is much nicer, so I'm sticking with VMR9 FSE.
GBPVR System:
XP Pro SP2, AMD XP1800+, 512MB DDR, NVidia 6200 AGP (1.90.62 drivers), PVR-150 (2.0.43.24108 drivers), nVidia Purevideo Mpeg2 codec, PVRX2 1.4.7

Ha!

sub, i have something for you:

I checked the Decoder-Trayicon while playing back a medium. You see the right side? "Dekoderformat" (it's like decoder format) "Nicht definierter Render" = "not defined Renderer"

And only Software YUV2, instead hardware acceleration (which should be used). It looks like PureVideo Decoder isn't suitable for DXVA 2.0.

I can confirm that I have the same problem as ShingDragon when using EVR.
My setup is XP, ATI 2400XP with Catalyst 7.10 drivers.
Tried Nvidia,ATI and Cyberlink decoders thay all behave the same.

Yeah quite possibly. I've not had the Nvidia PureVideo decoder on my machine in several years, so couldnt tell you how it copes with the EVR renderer. Its basically an old decoder that predates EVR.
