Sub,

I don't know what changed, but it is not happening today! I watched a recorded show last night and if I would FFWD and then press play I would loose audio. The picture was fine, but no audio. Today I tried it again with a new recording and it is working as it should!

If it happens again I will make sure and send you the log files.

I got another one for you. If you click the OSD FFWD with the mouse what are you supposed to click to return it to normal playback speed? The only option that seems to work for me is to Pause it and then on Pause it. Is that correct?

Later,

Yeah, the mouse control is a bit crap. I'll improve it in a later release.

I just wanted to chime in on this now as well. I appear to regain audio after FFW and RWD now. I'm not 100% sure but I think it happened after I updated to your new maintenance release that fixed the zap2it issue, so perhaps you inadvertantly fixed another bug when you put out that release. I think I did notice something weird that I haven't had a chance to play with; apparantly my rewind does not in fact rewind, it is something like a slow forward instead. I went to rewind a football play and the players were still moving forward, has anyone else noticed any anomolies like this?

I see this in the 2313 release with a PVR250MCE. Watch TV, hit Ctrl+R, and I lose sound. Changing channels is about the only way to get sound back.

Yes, several users have reported this in the v0.23.x release, and I've got it on my list of things to look at for the next release. For now just avoid FF/RW, and use the skip features instead.

I had this same problem earlier, with the newest release... Change your MPEG Software Playback things. Don't use "System Default" but use one of the options given. For instance, use the MPEG2 audio thing, and your sound card for the two audio options...

I had the problem, changed this, and now it works fine, sound comes back after a FF/RW...

My problem is, they just suck. Tongue Mine doesn't seem to fast forward, OR rewind... It just skips and flutters around...

But as for sound, I fixed the problem on my end by changing to selected playback things, not "System Default".

Athlon XP1700+, 512 ram, 160gig RAID, GeForce2 TI, Creative 128 sound.. yadda yadda yadda.

I still have this no audio problem after FFW with the new release and after making the suggested changes to the system default audio settings.  MB is a Soyo SY-P4RC350, it makes use of C-Media chipset for audio.  Any other suggestions to get it working or debug the problem would be appreciated.

Thanks,
dab

You shouldnt lose sound, but FF/RW is still generally crap.

I did loose sound. Only live-tv made it come back. The problem even survived a reboot.

I changed to shortskip so it's not a biggie (once you know to do so)

I'm using the version 94.13 btw.
