hmm. If you set the deinterlacing setting back to 'encoder pass through' does it help?

I had my HVR-1300 back in my machine this morning to check the audio and seems to work ok for me.

I suspect what you're seeing is actually caused by confusion/conflict caused by having the HVR3000 in the same machine. The HVR3000 uses the same chipset and drivers, but without the hardware MPEG2 encoder.

If you've got time, it might be worth seeing if you get audio if you remove the HVR3000 from the machine.

hmm good point, I might take my HVR-3000 out and see if that fixes it. By no means a permenent solution, but would be an interesting test.

hmm, i updated to the latest drivers (released not so long ago), it seems to have fixed it.

no, I take that back.

Case kind of closed.

If I start GB-PVR, put it on analogue, then start WinTV, let the sound start, close WinTV. The sound will work correctly until I restart my computer.

Odd. But at least I know a work around. If you have any further thoughts, i'd be interested to know.
