Help getting HD PVR Working

I got as far as pluging it in yesterday, but then I realised I no longer have an analog HD source to feed it. I used to have an HD-DVD player in my office for the my testing, but I no longer have that. Our high def set top boxes only have HDMI, no component. I'll try to find something else to feed it though...

I'm still at a complete loss for what to try next. Basically watching liveTV works fine, but watching a record show is a blank screen with the audio, and the same for watching an in progress recording.

It looks like to me that when watching a recorded show that GBPVR is picking up some other "system default" decoders other than the ones specified. However, when I play them in media player everything looks good.

I had to do a clean re-install of windows and upgrade to a video card that supported hardware acceleration. Now, using the Cyberlink DVD8 decoder for h.264, recorded play back is perfect. I still cannot get the Arcsoft to work. Hope this helps.

Are you getting smooth playback on LiveTV from the Cyberlink decoder?! I get LiveTV fine with Arcsoft, but recordings get audio only.

The playback is good with the CyberLink decoder as long as you have a video card that supports hardware acceleration. I have only been able to get audio playback with the Arcsoft decoder. I have been trying to use ffdshow. FFDshow does work great with live TV using h.264 but when I try to split the .ts file I can't get ffdshow to work with any splitter combination.

Can you look and see which version of the Cyberlink decoder you have? The 780g motherboard has HA just fine, but the Cyberlink decoder just doesn't work right for me.
