One more test, started playback of one channel in the morning, screen went blank at 10:50, Live TV file continued to grow, I changed channels from blank screen at 11:31 and the change worked.

Also if a recording kicks in during Live TV NMT goes blank and requires a hard reset (not in logs attached).

That is not a general rule. I've tested this before and I just tested again and my LiveTV NMT and everything ended cleanly ending with a message on the screen that the tuner was no longer available.

Thanks for the update. All kinds of odd things can happen from time to time, which is why I really prefer looking into problems with logs.

In another post you asked about "connection was forcibly closed" This is actually expected on a skip. On socket is closed and another opened in a new location. You shouldn't see it often in LiveTV until you stop, except in some error conditions.

Thanks. The crash where channel file file size stays at 0 after switching to a new channel happened again tonight. Even after turning off the client and having a recording in progress, the file is still locked by nextPVR.exe (same process has 2 established TCP connections to the turned off PCH?)

As for connection forcibly closed, it just seems to happen right before, or at, the time of the blank screen where progress stops in web.log

Yes, in that case the stream ends and after the demux stops getting data, the PCH closes the sockets and it tells NextPVR that it has finished. You can see get it with with "Received: STREAM_STOP". Unfortunatley NextPVR ignores the command when it comes from LiveTV (it works with recordings) I've told sub about this too.

Basically we are waiting for sub.

That's not the sign of a problem, if you start playing any audio or video when you hit stop that message comes up. Read my last message for the problems.

I hope Sub will have a chance to fix this as it is making Live TV unusable.

I havnt really used an NMT or MVP recently, so not that familiar with the issues on these device.

Can you summarise the remaining issues with the current patchs? The thread is a bit of a moving target when you read from beginning to end, and its not entirely clear to me.
