I have placed a new version on the WIKI

Some of what I have added/fixed:

Fixed the ordering problem. Not really a problem. What you saw was the order the Windows shows you if you browse the directories. I made it sort by track number. M3U playlists are not sorted however. They remain in the order that they are in the playlist file.

More skinning. Put the help messages out there. Changed some sizing on the song list in preparation for editing the now playing queue. The selection box is now part of the skin.

Change the help images to gifs so you can now change the background. Since they are now in the skin, you can do whatever you want with them including changing where they appear.

The eversion number in the config screen will still say 0.5 Sorry.

I just loaded Music Album II.
In the song/track box (bottom right), instead of showing just the name of the track, it shows the full path name.
E.g., "F:\My Music\Various Artists\Bach Variations\....." This string is so long it that the actual track name is truncated off the right side.
Yet, in the various images of this screen that you and others have posted, only the track name is shown.
Have I done something wrong? Any ideas?

I'll take a look at it. Something to do with splitting the file name from the path. Nothing you are doing I am sure.

Is there someway in this plug in to get it to follow my general directory structure? i have music listed by genre\artist\albums\songs. I'm trying to get it to show that way as opposed to one giant list of albums

hey i'm getting old i don't always remember who did what album :-)

One other question, does this plug support the id3 v2. I have a few misc directorys of songs, one hit wonders and what not that i've embedded the album cover in the mp3. that embedded cover art shows up in jukebox but not in music albums. is there a way to show that?

When I download the zip it only has one .exe in it, no mdb file. Should it? I install it to it's default location "c:\program files\devnz" but when I set it up in config to point to a directory/volume of music I get:
"Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an objet."
Probably just something silly I didn't enable?
screen shots look nice, can't wait to start using it.

Music Albums doesn't have a database - the song lists are generated afresh each time. It could be a skin issue - the GBPVR.exe.log file should contain more info about where the problem comes from: you could try posting it here if you want.

Its been a while since I have worked on Music Album II. The single exe installs the skins and the pluging. after you press the install button you will get another installation tool screen that has a "details" button. That should show all of the files being placed in the appropriate directory.

What verions of GBPVR are you using? I have not recompiled in some time maybe there is an incompatability. Also, are you using the blue skin?

OK, I just downloaded the latest gbpvr (0.95.16) to my laptop (i'm at work on lunch break) and the Music Album II plugin. Also download the weather plugin to get the other needed components. Everything worked for me. There is an error in the skin for the box that lists the songs. Its too small. I have attached a new skin that will be better. download it and put it in

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\Musicalbums

Remove the ".txt" extension so that the name is skin.xml

Let me know how it goes.

I will try to post the gbpvr.exe log file tonight when I get home, but I am using the BlueMCE2 skin and the latest ver. of gbpvr(9516).

That could be it - try changing the skin to the standard blue and seeing if it works then - if so, copy the Music Albums skin directory from the blue skin to the bluemce2 skin.
