It may be the dx9b version of the quartz.dll.

Dont worry about it though. Its not supported, and not worth wasting any more time on. It was just something I was trying when looking at this aspect ratio problem. The lack of OSD makes it useless in my book.

sub Wrote:Do you have any clips which make it easy to see this problem? I've downloaded a few clips from the net, but havnt been able to reproduce the problem on my 6200 yet. I've got a pretty powerful dual core 4400+ machine - I wonder if that is playing any part in why I'm not seeing the problem.

I'm just uploading a 50MB 1080i dvr-ms file to here http://home.exetel.com.au/albums/files/clip.dvr-ms, give it another hour as on cable here and have slow upstream.

It's the CSI miami opening which has plenty of horizontal moving vertical bands making the tearing fairly obvious.

BTW, changing the back to the dx9c quartz.dll fixed the yuv mixing problem.

A positive side effect of using the yuv mixing is lack of the deinterlacing bug associated with the dx9c quartz.dll. http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...ostcount=8

Also the picture quality and smoothness in GBPVR seem exceptional using this mode. Smile

However not all of the aspect ratio modes seem to work though.

CPU/GPU speed definately sounds like it has a lot to do with vmr9 tearing. See this post I found by blight, I think he's the developer of zoomplayer. http://www.virtualdub.org/blog/pivot/entry.php?id=105

Yes, its a pity its not more useable for us. It also has good low CPU usage, particular when the decimate by 2 option is used, but the lack of OSD is a killer.

Yes, I noticed this also. It seems to be those with coordinates outside the screen. ie, those that crop part of the picture (center-cut etc).

Sub,

The playback picture quality in "'full screen exclusive" mode is just too good to ignore. I think some people like are even prepared to put up with the lack of osd's.

From what I understand Theatertek uses an exclusive mode renderer yet still seems to have OSD's, so it can be done right ?

Were you able to spot any tearing with the sample clip ?

I was just saying the YUV option has a lack of OSD, not the full screen exclusive mode.

I havnt really had a close look at that clip yet. I've been quite busy the last few days with other stuff.

Another vote for VMR9 fullscreeen exclusive mode. After upgrading my vid card to 7600GS, I tried VMR9 for dvr-ms files. 720p shows are okay but 1080i shows have occasional stutter and flickering.

I tried Theatertek 2.4 with fullscreen exclusive VMR9 mode and it works flawlessly. I'm thinking of recording in GBPVR and watch on Theatertek.

I've tearing at 720x576i too, and the trick of the "VMR9 fullscreeen exclusive mode" in config.xml resolve it. But now,as you say it, I have several problems with OSD.
Sub, it would be nice if you could fix it in the next realise. Nvidia people is almost half of GBPVR users, please don't forget us.
