Another With Multiple Tuner Card Issues

RESOLUTION:

I have tried manual recordings for both cards & record using LiveTV ctrl+K of both channels. Both with success.

The secret: I would like to thank Brice Washington Jr from Hauppauge. He emailed me with the latest pre-release drivers. I used these in conjunction with the latest official apps. The links are as below:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It's back. After a couple of reboots.

Beginning to think another OS might be the only solution???????

Sub,

I installed the latest version of BeyondTV & after setup it records from both cards properly with audio. I did this twice with dual concurrent records.

Any ideas where I should look in the BTV programme to determine why this one works & others don't? It does use Sonic decoders but I don't see how that would fix the problem. But as a non-programmer that doesn't mean much Rolleyes

Sub,

An update. I decided to upgrade to MCE2005 & guess what: the issue still exists using GBPVR. MCE records are fine but I was unaware of their proprietory video format (.dvr-ms).

I probably should not have expected too much as MCE2005 is based off Windows XP Pro, anyway. Still, it has fixed other smaller issues I had so it was still worth it.

I am trying to get ICS working so I can update my mobo BIOS to see if it is the cause.

You could see if updating the direct.ini file to set (both) the PVR500 sections to INIT_MODE=DEFAULT makes any different. I doubt it'll help though.

PVR500 sections? Is this a typo or is it relevant to 150MCE cards? Cheers.

Sorry, I meant PVR150 sections (150 and 150MCE).
