It really depends on the files you play and the audio output. If your current NMT has troubles with some file formats, the 200 series might be better. A big difference is I don't think I will be able to integrate playback of files other than mpeg into the 200 series, so you will need to use two interfaces, and files shares.

I guess the fact the the 200 series code is vapourware would be another concern.

Thanks Martin. Sounds like I should pick up a refurb A110 for now. Glad to see that you've worked out MVP support for NPVR, I will likely still have 1 MVP so it would be nice to be able to use it.

Before I click buy, just want to check that the PCH A110 is supported under NPVR? Comskip and everything?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Right now from the NMT perspective, the only thing in NPVR that I miss from PVRx2 is the ability to navigate in LiveTV, everything else I see as an improvement.

Recently two other Syabas firmware updates for the 200 have arrived, an updated SDK and the new integrated jukebox (NMJ) and I now believe that I am not chasing a moving target. Syabas have provided me with all the information I need to make a client so the pressure is on me now...

Martin

looking forward to it...

I lost a lot of desire to continue this when I found out that I could not use any of the free Flash tools to compile an app. The non-student edition of Flash CS 5 is almost $700 and I don't like you guys that much. If and when I take a night course and can get this for $200 I will be much more interested.

Ouch. Guess we can't blame you for that. Too bad though, I was really looking forward to getting the NPVR interface on the C200.

lol... that is quite a lot! and it is understandable that without sponsoring this is quite an obstacle :S

I realize that there is probably never going to be a full blown GBPVR client for the 200 series. However, may I make a request for a small GBPVR app just to display the guide and allow the scheduling and management of recordings.

For instance, I can display the pages:

http://local_ip:7647/gbpvr/Manage.aspx
http://local_ip:7647/gbpvr/Guide.aspx

..on the player and even navigate them but I can't actually do anything with them. I'm hoping someone with some skills could at least make the basic PVR functionality available from the 200 series interface so I don't have to grab a laptop every time I want to record something.

Thanks for listening and your consideration.

That was pretty much already asked and answered here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...-streamers You really should ask the Swisscentre guys to build the required scraper or talk to NEWA web services. In any case this is the wrong forum and thread for this request.

Thanks the reply and suggestion but the SwissCenter guys are probably not going to build a user specific app.

I sincerely apologize. I was hopeful that others interested in GBPVR on the 200 series may have an interest in this. My bad. Won't trouble you again.
