I would dearly love to have this option, but hesitate to ask for it if I'm the only one.

My testing is going fairly well, but have a problem still. If I preview the channel first in live tv, then set it to record, everything is fine. If I select a different channel to start to record, I usually get 0 byte files. It looks like it needs a little time to make the switch to get ready to record. Is there anything I can to to get it to wait a little before it tries to start recording?

Try this patch, and add <BDAAllowMultiRecordOnEncrypted>true</BDAAllowMultiRecordOnEncrypted> to the config.xml.

Thanks so much, the psi patch has fixed my problem too see this thread. I still have to have ignore pmt crc errors on to scan for the channel but thats not a big deal.
The ability to do multi record on the encrypted channels is just the icing on the cake.

Sub you are a legend, thanks again

Hi Sub, You likely are sick of this but it is soooo close. I did about a hundred tests and found that on ati mux, I got good recordings every time. With ts mux and multirecord on, I get 0 byte files most of the time, but have better odds if I preview the channel first. If I turn off multirecord, I often get a zero byte file, then in a few seconds it starts a new file and records fine. Unfortunately, I really need multirecord working (if possible).

Here are the logs for a multi and non multi record. Both show it finding small files but the non-multi restarts the recording and it works

Create a C:\temp directory, and an HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\LogTSWriter=1 (DWORD) registry setting, then do restart the recording service and reproduce one of this failed recording, then zip and attach the c:\temp\recording-x.log file for me to look at.

I'm a bit behind soccerdad in my testing, but I can confirm I see the same things he is seeing - 0 byte files for the ts mux and good recordings for both ATI and Cyberlink MPEG muxes. I also was having lots of trouble with crashes under 1.3.11 when scanning in config, and all of those problems are gone with these patches. I've completed four DVB-S scans without a problem.

I was about to produce the requested test data, but since he's already done it, I'll hold off.

Thanks sub!
