Yeah, just uncheck the box in Settings - Misc2! But I just edited a copy of your XML file with Notepad for practice. Just add .xml to file name and select "All Files" as type.

I am trying to get the hauppauge 2650 working with NPVR and XBMC as well.
I scanned with the web server as described, but still not seeing any channels in NextPVR. What am I doing wrong?
Everything is set up and working in Windows Media Center just fine.
The only other thing I can think to note is that I do not have a cable card. I am using it for basic channels only. However, shouldn't those still be picked up? They are in Windows Media Center.

I'm pretty sure you'll only get the channels in NextPVR with a cablecard. I think if you had the SiliconDust version of the hardware (HDHomeRun Prime), then you can get the clearqam/atsc channels using the ATSC/QAM drivers installed with this hardware.

Really? That would be most unfortunate. It works fine without a cable card if I use windows media center. If anyone knows a way around that it would be appreciated. I don't really want to pay my cable provider for the cable card as I don't even subscribe to the premium channels that would require it
