I think I will need to have a look into your gbpvr.db3/mdb database then. How large is your file? Do you have the possibility to upload it somewhere? Maybe on rapidshare or something else?

After doing a full EPG Update with -emptyepg all genre colors are showing in all days. So all is good, no need to review the db3 that I sent.

Thanks,
Roy

I'm having a problem -- after i update the epg from within GBPVR, I need to restart it for the updates to show up. is there a way to have the guide automatically refreshed?

There's currently no way to reload the epg data when the plugin has been activated before during the current gbpvr session. I will have a look if it is possible to change that in the future.

This is unfortunate as I love the plugin very much but have a dedicated box as a pvr and rarely reboot it.

yes, but the plugin isn't able to recognize when the epg was actually updated. You also don't need to reboot your machine, it is sufficient to exit and restart gbpvr.

As a workaround, I could suggest the following:
Go to the system menu and choose another skin. You can also copy your whole skin folder and give the directory another name, this will make it show up in the chosable skins.
This will have the effect that the plugin is reinitialized completely, with the new epg data.

I figured out where to put the artwork and where to get it from, and am having good success with most programs, but can't get it to display the picture for "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart". I named the file 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.gif', 'The Daily Show.gif', and 'daily show.gif', but it won't display the picture. It is 533x400. I have tried shrinking it, and converting to jpg, but it still won't display.

edit

After some experimentation, I got it to display 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.jpg' after I shrunk it to 448x336. However, it only shows it for re-runs. There is no picture shown for the original or premiere run of an episode. Does that have something to do with the "*" in the displayed title of premiere episodes?

What are the acceptable parameters (dimensions, color depth) for pictures that the TV Listings plugin can display?

<edit>Try adding a space after the filename, like this: 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart .jpg'
If that doesn’t work,<end edit>
The (I-xmltv) (p)remiere (i)ndicator switch “/pi/” allows you to choose the character that is displayed.
Code:
SET TVSwitches=/sx /oe /se/ - /dd/() /df/Y-M-D /gd/1 [B][SIZE="4"]/pi/*[/SIZE][/B] /tp/-6
Unfortunately changing it to something like “N” or “P” wouldn’t help other programs that use special characters, like M*A*S*H.

I try to follow the TV Listings threads when I can, because it’s high on the list of plugins I’m going to install when I upgrade to v98! Cool

I ended up putting two pictures in the art folder
one named 'The show name.jpg' and one named 'The show name .jpg' (two spaces before .jpg)

This allows the premiers to have the picture as well (star gets changed to space when converted through TVListings)

valid extensions are
Code:
.jpg|.jpeg|.png|.gif|.bmp
at the moment, resolution and color depth shouldn't matter.

Yes, special chars need to be replaced with a space, even if they are at the end of a name.
