This plugin looks great. I've already got I-xmltv working and really like that.

Will this plugin work with GB-PVR 96.8 and the access database setup?

I had all kinds of problems with the newer versions of GB-PVR running with Xrecord so I reverted back to an older stable setup.

I haven't looked through all the posts, but will this be a sort of replacement to Xrecord? I mainly use Xrecord and its priority recordings to schedule everything. I have zaptools installed so I also go into Xsearch and search by genre.

Thanks

Hi,

no, it won't run with older versions of GBPVR. You'll need to update to the latest version of GBPVR before you can use this plugin.

The plugin does basically the same as the default TV Guide plugin, so I don't think that it would be a replacement for XRecord - however, I do not know exactly what XRecord really is.
Jim has realized a genre-based search with the tv listings plugin by adding a "genre-channel", you yan see details some posts above.

I have started a thread here discussing a problem I beleive to be a TV Listings problem.
I was wondering if you could take a look at it?
Thanks.

I'm fully upgraded now and have TV listings going now and really like it.

I set up a Find channel along with I-XMLTV. Is there a way to sort the list and combine shows when searching? Maybe make the list sort alphabetically and then combine the episodes of a specific series as shown below.

For example, when I go into genre and search under horror, the list pulls up in order of show date. This would include each episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel and so on as they come up. I would like to just have one listing of Buffy or whatever and then to be able to go into that if I wanted to pick the individual episodes. This would shorten the searching lists quite a bit for going thru them.

Thanks for a great plugin.

Please add TV listing skin on nuoro. I like the nuoro skin and tv listing as well.

I don't suppose there's a fix to update the EPG automatically yet? This plugin is so much better than the default one except for that one problem!

You can automatically kill or close gbpvr.exe after each update by using “Process –k gbpvr.exe” in PostUpdateEPG.bat
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/pr...ssutil.htm

If you’re using an MPV, a new gbpvr session will automatically start, if not launch gbpvr.exe in PostUpdateEPG.bat after killing it.

Not a perfect solution because it could dump you out of a show you're watching at 4AM. But good enough for me.

Hi and sorry for the delay,

I'm quite busy at the moment; that's why there aren't any updates I'm currently working on. If things go well and I pass my examination next week, I will have a look at the code again and provide an update in the near future.

There's currently no way to group the search results into "folders". I will think about adding this feature for the next release.

fhmanas Wrote:Please add TV listing skin on nuoro. I like the nuoro skin and tv listing as well.

You should ask the skin designer to do this. Besides the popup screens, the skin doesn't differ that much from sub's TV Guide skin.

No - maybe I can add a "secret" keyboard shortcut to reload the guide data in the future.

rlbond Wrote:I'm getting an error: '<' (hex 0x3c) invalid character, line 17 position 1. any ideas?

Sorry, but I think that you'll have to provide some more details to get an answer to that one.
