London and SE England has gone screwy now. I'm going to turn off daily GBPVR EPG updates for the next few days and stick with the xml file from yesterday's grab which has 11 days of listings luckily.

Hopefully it'll be fixed before it runs out.

Cheers,
Brian

Since Radio Times seems to be completely borked for me (no BBC1, BBC2, ITV Anglia etc.) I've switched to the DVB OTA program guide.

However, I now have a problem with navigation within the TV Guide screen from my MVP's. I can move up and down on the grid, but cannot move left or right! I can jump to different days and make gross jumps, but not the fine left and right selections.

If I switch back to my borked XMLTV data, I can navigate fine. Put back DVB OTA and I cannot scroll backwards or forwards in time.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks to this Radio Times instability recently, the WAF or GBPVR is falling!
Trying to explain that the problem lies not with us but RT is futile if she cant watch daytime TV!

the navigation trouble is a bug in the latest release which only happens when you're using the DVB EPG. theres a fix in the survival thread, empty your epg, copy the fix over then do an epg update and you're ready to rock.

or, ready to jeremy kyle, as the case may be.....

Thank you so much for that, I was totally not seeing it as an import problem, only a navigation problem on which my searches were coming up blank.

I even checked the survival guide! /Hangs head in shame/

I just got back from a long weekend to see that the radiotimes site has been playing up again. Fortunately, after the last time this happened I added an extra line to my EPG download script. This checks that the downloaded epg file > 5K in size before removing the old file and updating the epg.

XmltvConsole.exe
for %%R in (data.xml) do if %%~zR lss 5000 goto NORT ELSE echo EPG downloaded ok >> r:\temp\syslog.txt

It looks like they're back from holidays and fixed it now.

I was hit again the otherday with Radiotimes giving blank EPG data, so all my channels showed empty. The EPG xml file that was downloaded was very small. Fortunatly it all came good again with proper data the next day. I have written a batch file to check if the file is too small and if it is to reject it, and stop your file getting over-written.

Hope others find it useful.
Andrew.
