I've been having a problem where every so often my guide doesn't upfate right. The web admin says that i have guide data for 13 more days, but when i go to the tv guide, it is basically empty except for a few entries here and there scattered randomly. Anybody had this problem? I try and do a manual update, and sometimes it fixes the problem, other times i get an error and the only way to get an update to work is to do a "repair" installation over my current one. Any help with this?

Where do you get your EPG data from? (XMLTV etc)

Have you looked at the XML file that GBPVR loads into the EPG database - maybe it doesnt have a lot of informatiopn in the file.

Has this always happened? Is the filesize of the XMl file different to what it used to be?

Thanks

zap2it. Actually, no....never looked at that file, or noticed the size.......never knew what file it was actually. This has just started happening randomly in the last release or so. Nothing else has changed on my box, it does nothing but run gbpvr.

There is a known problem that can lead to gaps in your EPG if you're using zap2it. If this is the problem, you'll find enabling the 'complete EPG reload' setting will correctthe problem.

I dont know what sequence of events leads to this occurring, but hopefully I'll be able to resolve the issue before the next release.

actually, I allready have the "complete epg reload" setting checked. It's been that way since my frist gbpvr install, over a year ago.

Has your zap2it account expired?

What happens when you click the 'Update EPG' button in the config app?

No, i just renewed my zap2it....i'm good for a while. Whenever I manually update, it usually fixes the problem, the guide appears complete. Sometimes however, i get an error during update....can't remember exactly now, but something like "...class handler...?" error.

Ok, well do the manual 'update epg'. Next time the gap or missing entries appears, or you get that error, then post the logs immediately after you first notice it and I'll take another look.
