Playback stutter when my PVR150 switches channels

Hello,

Today, I noticed that whenever the recording service switches channels on my WinTV-PVR150, if I am in the middle of playback of some show - the playback would stutter.

This happened to me twice in the last 2 hours while my wife and I were watching recorded episodes of House MD, and CSI. There were recordings scheduled that began during the time we were watching.

I can pin down the fact that it's the 150 because I could see the USB-UIRT blasting the channel numbers, and the stutter occurred immediately after the blasting was completed. The 150 is the only one of my 2 cards that records off the set-top box...

This never happened to me with the other card (a WinTV-PVR350).
I am using NVidia PureVideo decoders.

You could try switching off high priority for the recordingservice, in config.xml:
<ForceHighPriorityRecordingService>true</ForceHighPriorityRecordingService>
Change it to false. I would have preferred to change the gbpvr.exe-priority to high(er), but there is no entry for that. At least it's a nice test

I had that....after reinstalling GB it shook itself out...not sure if the reinstall fixed it, or if something I set differently after the reinstall did it.

I'm not sure about your blaster, but the pvr150 one uses bad programming techniques of solid timing loops that freeze everything else whilst it is blasting.

It's happening with my 350 and a USB-UIRT, not with the 150's blaster :-(
