After a period without GB-PVR (as my harddrive broke), I have just got around to setting it up again. I have got everything working beautifully, apart from the rather crucial issue of getting recordings with content in them. When I record I just get files with a totally black screen.
My setup is as follows:
PVR-350 capture card
Sky (UK) STB feeding into the PVR 350 via S-Video
Capture source set up as Composite 2, which I believe I used last time (have also tried it on composite and S-Video with no luck)
Playback is either through the PVR-350 or the TV-Out on the graphics card, but both just show a black screen apart from the OSD. I have also tried to play the recorded files in Windows Media Player, but with same result. However, when I play a normal MPEG-2 file from another source, it plays both in Windows Media Player and in GB-PVR.
I tried using the antenna as source to run the tuning assistant, and that worked fine.
I suspect what I am doing wrong is related to codec, but since I last set it up there are a number of new choices in the program, and I can not remember what I did to get it working last time. Any help would be appreciated, as I am tearing my hair out :-)
Thanks!
