With the last couple of releases the MP3 playback would work intermittently. I've upgraded to v0.97.7 and now nothing.

It will not play MP3's using either Music Library or the Music Library2 plugin. I also had the same problem on tha last version with other music plugins Music Player and My Music.

It works on my PC or on the MVP using the Haupauge software.

I had hoped that the new release would solve my problems.

Does anyone have any ideas??

May sound ridiculous: are you sure you have the volume turned up there have been problems with that in the past, because it's done by the arrow buttons on your remote, depends on your remote ofcourse.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Yeah thx. Did have that problem before and never realised why it was so quiet.

I only use the MVP for MP3s. I've tried to see if other things are working. No live TV either, but photo library works. The only way I got the FM radio to work in the past was when I used the my music plugin. So there may be a problem with the sound. I have the 34 button Hauppauge. In the past I turned the volume up in the Hauppauge software. Can it be adjusted within GBPVR?

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs?

Hi Sub. Logs attached. I'am amazed you still have the time to personally sort problems with the amount of people using it now.

I thought Htv was maybe on to something as I do not appear to be able to adjust the volume in music library however, the music library 2 has a track timer that seems to be stuck at 0:00. So I assume that the tracks are just not playing.

Thanks.

It looks like you've still got part of the Hauppauge MVP software running. GB-PVR has only received a connection on one of the two ports it uses. This makes me thing some other piece of software recieved the other connection (used for streaming the media file).

I have my MVP directly connected to my PC with a crossover cable so I use the Hauppauge software to establish the connection then close the MVPMedia and MVPMediaSVC services.

I think I am using v2.5.24046 of the Hauppauge software which I put on in an attempt to solve connection problems. Does this maybe have another service that I should close?

I have added a word document with screenshots of the open services on my PC. I do not see another Hauppauge service to close. If you have any further thoughts I would be pleased to hear them.

Is there any chance that this could be a firewall issue if only one port is being used?

Thanks again.

Maybe if you open the task manager and look on the processes tab make sure these arent running

hcwsms.exe
MVPMedia.exe
MVPMediaSVC.exe
DglSvcMain.exe

if any of them are end them and then restart your MVP

dont ask me what the processes do, but i no that i had to stop them to get it to work properly!
