Help! Issues after rebuild w/ Decoders and other things

Note to sub: I can't remember if I asked you to add this filter to the list for the next release or not but it works really well. It's based on the MPV filter.

I tried to do a search the ATI codec and couldn't find it.

It's annoyingly not obvious. It's under some AVIVO package and I think possibly under other cards than the HD3200 but it does work. EVR I believe isn't any good under XP as you dont get any hardware acceleration, but in Vista its great. I dont actually use the ATI codec these days under vista, but I used to use it under XP and found it good.

Well it seems that by swapping in a video card it solved most of my issues.

Now, to figure out why my HD channels don't show up in the EPG. I think I have to figure out how to map them.

Do you mean adding a new video card instead of the integrated one or replacing the one you were using?

I was using the onboard... and I tossed an ATI x1350 in there. Seems to be working much better. I have read of others having issues with the onboard video on this board.

I was excited to use the HDMI out on it...

You never did say what was wrong with the onboard (except codecs) as mine works perfectly using the HDMI... Others here use them too and I'm not aware of any major problems for video use. ATI drivers are unpredictable and crap but find one that works and dont change it and things are ok - and that's a problem for all ATI not just the onboard.
