I can't get Music Library 2 to work in 97.9. It will not even show in the config. I have installed it like the wiki says and it is version 3.6 with new database. I can see in the log, that i have an error with Music Library 2, and it is a skin-problem, but can somebody tell me what am i missing ??

Going by your logs, I'd say you're missing CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll or the version you've got is old or missing some of the required functionality.

THAT WAS A FAST REPLAY !!!!! Thank you, Sub... Where can i find the newst one ? I have just used the one that the Music Library 2-wiki is linking to.

I just have to say that i have not had any problems what so ever with the base-upgrade from 96.12 to 97.9. IT IS SO COOL!

Sorry I cant help you with that one. I was just interpreting the error in the logs for you. I dont run any plugins on my machine, so I'm not really familar with this CommonGBPVRUtilities.DLL file or the version of it that exist.

Actually the CommonGBPVRUtilties has probably moved on from the one that ML2 is expecting.

The one that I will be expecting is dated 21/Oct/2005. If the one on the wiki points to a newer one then I would have tested ML2 with that dll.

I will be putting out a new version of ML2 in the next day or 2 that should resolve this problem.

Now i have tried the 3.7 version of ML2. It still doesn't show up in the config:confused: I don't get it... I must be doing something wrong. :
- Copy the database
- copy all the files in the zip to GBPVR, and overwirte the ones that are allready there.
Can you say anything from the logs ?

I have the ML2Panel.dll errors as well but it shows up for me.
It looks like it cannot find the skin file. (I edited out my suggestion to try 'Blue' since it appears he included BlueMCE2 skin files as well, but you can try it to see if it shows up with that skin.).

psycik- Love the humor in the error logs. Got a chuckle out of it.

Ignore my comment about ML2Panel.dll (I failed to copy the xml over to my skin). Once I did that, that error went away (duh!).

Code:
6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.812 VERBOSE [1] ML2Panel: Initialise 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.828 VERBOSE [1] ML2Panel: Initialise complete 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.828 VERBOSE [1] ML2Panel: Initialise 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.828 VERBOSE [1] ML2Panel: Initialise complete 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.828 VERBOSE [1] ML2Panel: Initialise 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.843 VERBOSE [1] ML2Panel: Initialise complete 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.906 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Initialising - verify CommonGBPVRUtilties Exists. 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.906 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Loading skinHelper 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.906 VERBOSE [1] Initializing skin helper for: .\skin\Chameleon\MusicLibrary2\skin.xml 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.906 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Skin Loaded 6/5/2006 3:19:24 PM.937 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Connecting to database - run a compact first 6/5/2006 3:19:25 PM.281 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Database Connection tested 6/5/2006 3:19:25 PM.281 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Loading Configuration Values 6/5/2006 3:19:25 PM.312 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Initialising Scan Time to: -1 6/5/2006 3:19:25 PM.312 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Initialising Scan Day to: 1 6/5/2006 3:19:25 PM.359 VERBOSE [1] MusicLibrary2: Default constructor running (normally for IEventNotification)

This makes me think that your skin files are not updated. Look carefully in the directory structure under GBPVR and see if they are misplaced during the extraction process.

This here:
Code:
MusicLibrary2: Initialising - verify CommonGBPVRUtilties Exists.

Tells me it's not the new version. Hmm let me download from here, sometimes I've had trouble updating the wiki, I wonder if I haven't got hte file up there properly.

Oh, and BTW the humour is subs... It's a message he puts out when you create the skin object in the code.
