Can you set the logging level to debug, and then repeat and repost the logs?

I have encountered the same problem. I have applied the patch also. I try to run the MVp without the Hauppauge services running and the MVP never loads. I can run the Hauppauge services and the MVP will load, but with the the Hauppauge skin. I don't know if the issue is the dongle.bin file or what. i have attached a copy of my .log files. Please let me know if there is something that I can do. I am using MVP ver. H2.

Your logs never show a locator request being received, so its probably not getting an IP address, which happens before this. The Hauppauge software provides a DHCP server, the GB-PVR software does not, instead relying on you already having a DHCP server somewhere on your network. Do you have a DHCP server?

yes i have a dhcp server in my router. i will look there to see if it is getting the request.

How do I apply the patch referenced above?

I use direct connect between PC and MVP and assigned IP as directed by Hauppauge. Before the upgrade GBPVR connected just fine, but now it never connects (MVP swr loads and connects fine)

Also the recording service starts as before but no longer records anything

1. Additional info on troubles since conversion
After recording service starts, the hard drive is continuously hit in very brief spurts. This stops as soon as all GBPVR processes are terminated.
This never happened before upgrade.

2. How can I get a list with dates of what GBPVR programs should be installed in the GBPVR program folder? I am concerned that other files may have been installed there by utilities and plugins previously installed

This patch was only for v0.97.7. Dont apply it to a v0.97.9 release.
