btw, i put it in 'overlay' mode, and now i get OSD Smile (still no channel numbers..but when i type in a number, i get a little display in the bottom left, but it's only two digits. I need 3 Sad )

Now i just need to get rid of the 'squueaky' channel audio
the no video on divx/xvid recordings
and the record button not working

another problem i noticed, though not as big a deal, is that in the 'video's and 'music' section, the directory names etc. text, seems to have the bottom bit slightly cut off. This just happened recently, it was fine until then. Not a huge deal though

Yes, thats part of the problem I can see in your logs. You're trying to use the Cyberlink decoder with VMR9, but this combination does not usually work until you add a couple of Cyberlink registry settings. This decoder is only compatible with Overlay by default. If you google for "Cyberlink registry EnableVMR9" you should find the specific registry settings.

I'm guessing if you try another audio decoder this problem will go away.

This sounds like you dont have an divx/xvid decoder installed.

Can you post a screenshot? Maybe you're using large fonts?

The record button comes up with an error, i'll post up two screenshots in about an hour
