I previously tried to install version 97.9, but there seemed to be some glitches with it when run on the MVP. This forced me to go back to 96.12. I really wanted to take advantage of the latest version so I tried to do the upgrade again today. When applying the upgrade I also ran the utility to change to SQLLite. I could run gbpvr on the local machine and even view the TV Guide and such. It took a long time for the MVP to load the app, and then it could never locate the server. When the MVP was trying to locate the server, I noticed that the GBPVR.exe process was maxing out my processor. Now I am running an old Pentium 3 machine, but even with my 3 tuners it chugs along ok with the old version of GBPVR. I guess I'm wondering if I need a beefier machine to run the new version?

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs?

The best way I know of to repair problems with MVP to GB-PVR connections came from tipstir, and can be found in this thread:

Thanks I'll try to set it back up tomorrow night or Wed. It takes a little while because of having to repopulate the EPG.

I re-installed 097.9 and it seems to be running just great! I even solved a problem I was having with Live TV not working (The Buffer folder was accidently moved). One issue I did have was that some shows that were scheduled to record this evening did not record. I attempted to setup a few recordings tonight through the TV Guide and it wouldn't come on. I finally got one to come on and it seems that its working now. I'm just concerned about the remaining shows that were previously setup over the next couple of days. Thanks for all the feedback. If anyone has any suggestions on this last concern I'd appreciated any help.
