timeshift problems

Ahhhh!!!! :eek: i give up and have to bore everyone w/ a what seems to be a common question. when i pause live tv i get the "error: object reference..." ive read the FAQs regarding this and im quite sure those remedies dont apply to my set up.

ive got a hauppauge 500 card w/ windows XP.

ive spent loads of time trying to figure this one out so if you have any suggestions what i should check id be grateful.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

as soon as i posted i realized the utility in sending the files. since then ive been trying to figure out just what was needed (in addition to trying stop a baby from crying).

Can you try running the ReRegisterFilters.bat file?

hmmm. simply run the re-restierfilters.bat file and nothing more?

i just did that, closed GB and tried again and got the same error.

Do you still get the same error I identified above? It was from GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log.

Try manually running the following commands:

regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVRWriter.ax"
regsvr32 "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVRWriter.ax"

perhaps this is progress? error is "failure playing back file." in the GBPVR.exe logs i find:
