interlace problem with recorded videos

When viewing recorded MPEG-2 videos (recorded by PVR500), seems like the interlace lines got reversed. In some scenes, this is very obvious (jerkiness).
Is there anyway to fix this in GB-PVR?

This isnt something GB-PVR controls. Check the settings of your video decoder.

When I use Windows Media (with the same MPEG-2 filters) to playback the video, I have no problem.

I even tried the lastgraph.grf in the gbpvr folder. I could see it in GraphEdit
all the filters. The playback was ok (no jerkiness), and the deinterlacing works fine.

When I try in GBPVR, the jerkiness exists, and deinterlacing doesn't work at all.

Sorry, I've got no idea. GB-PVR doesnt attempt to control field order or anything that sounds like your description.

It may be working well in WMP because its using different video decoder, or maybe because its using 'Overlay' and GB-PVR's configured for VMR9.

I tried in Video Library mode, and in the Recording (playback of recorded shows), and both shows the same problem (jerkiness, and no deinterlace).

In the graphedit mode, and in Windows Media playback, no problem encountered.

I moved from Cyberlink decoder filters to Interviewo decoder filters.

All the problems I mentioned above disappeared!

I should have know, because during configuration, when Cyberlink decoder filters are chosen, a red message at the bottom of the configuration dialog warned that Cyberlink decoder might have problem with VMR (although I don't know what this means).

I had the same issue recently. The Cyberlink video decoder produced bad interlacing and no configuration seemed to fix it in GB-PVR - though there was no problem when playing through the PowerDVD interface. Switching to the Nvidia decoder gives a great picture in GB-PVR (though I still use the Cyberlink Audio decoder for its 2 speaker virtual effects).
The warning in GB-PVR on Cyberlink I thnk just referred to earlier decoders not supporting VMR9 - I don't think this is an issue with PowerDVD 6 /7 as they enable VMR9 support by default.
