Hi all
A dumb computer noob needs help installing comclean. According to instructions from this site I am supposed to add " Call Comclean %1 " to the postprocessing.bat file however whenever I click on the file it will not open. The file opens a window then it closes about a half second later. Also where do I put the " Call Comclean %1 " in the file. I am sorry if this is a stupid question.
Thank you for any help in advance.

You need to right click the file and choose edit. This will open it in notepad. Be sure you save it as a .bat file when you're done.

There are several files posted on the wiki that will give you a good idea of how to structure your file.
Server: Windows 10 - ASrock N3150DC -ITX Fanless Celeron
Clients: Shield TV with X-newa on Kodi, Asus chromebox - openelec - X-newa on Kodi

Non-necessary note: Choosing the extension "bat" in WinXP (and other modern windows OSes like win2k) will invoke the 16bit command processor. This may or may not be a problem with certain executables run on the CLI. Using "cmd" instead of "bat" will invoke the native 32b command processor which may work better.

My personal observations with comskip has shown that neither bat nor cmd is a problem, ie it works fine with bat in WinXP, but using cmd is slightly faster (maybe ten seconds or so faster on a one-hour-show).

Just thought you'd like to know. 8-)

HTH.
