Ok, I want to make GBPVR start in my second monitor so when I start up windows, GBPVR will automatically starts up there. I've checked the box in config...but it still starts in my primary monitor.

Also...after I reboot the PC, I get no sound in GBPVR. If I run hauppauge's wintv, then close it...I get sound in GBPVR. Any ideas????

I'm using winXP pro sp2, hauppauge pvr usb2, and GBPVR v0.97.13.

Everything else runs fine!

Do have your windows desktop extended to this second monitor? It needs to be.

Yes, I have desktop extended to second monitor. I'm using nvidia forceware drivers and using the "Dualview" setting.

I make it start on the second monitor in windowed mode because windows remembers what monitor it was last on. But if I make it start in fullscreen mode it always starts on the primary monitor...even with "Start on second monitor" checked.

that's *never* worked for me either, but i have a slight workaround..Smile
make the tv your primary monitor, then move taskbar and icons to computer monitor for desktop...
as long as both are always connected you won't have problems...tho programs will default to startup on tv till you move them over..
and i've tried with ATI and Nvidia cards...same thing..
doesn't seem to be driver issue, more like windows issue...
vlc works for doing this and a couple others so maybe in gbpvr too..
[no problems identifying or starting on second monitor]
iirc, it's a windows bug you can correct for..

you can do this with ultramon. download the trial and give it a shot, make a shortcut and you can set any properties you want upon launch. i just tried it, and had it maximize gbpvr on my third monitor and second monitors and it worked.

Ah yes...ultramon. Why didn't I think of that!? I had it a while ago until it expired. I'll have to get it again.
Why Windows has such poor support for muliple monitors is beyond me. Nearly all video cards have dual outputs these days.

Thanks for replies.

yeah, but the drivers contain 'decent' features for dual monitors. however, when you get into things like triple monitors and beyond, you just gotta have ultramon.. Wink

@PatNicon

Just a question: Could you please execute the "Identify" Button from within the Display Controlpanel? On each Monitor schould be a number visible for a short time.
