Since upgrading to the latest version I've run into two problems:

- The DVD button has disappeared from the main menu. I've made sure that 'Show DVD Button' is checked in the config application, and has tried both the Blue and Flat Blue skins.

- LiveTV freezes every 30 minutes or so, while GBPVR stops responding. I have the bitrate for LiveTV set to 7500 (constant).

I use a Hauppauge PVR250 and upgraded directly from the previous version (0.22).

Ah, right you are. I'm expecting I'll do another build later in the week, so I'll include a fix then. In the mean time you can edit your config.xml and add the following in the <MenuLayout> node:

<Task enabled="true">DVD</Task>

Unfortunately this setting will be removed each time you hit the OK button in config.exe, so you'll probably one want to add it if you're not changing settings often.

Was it at the end of a programme? Did a new file get created in your live tv directory, and was it growing?

No, it happened in the middle of a programme. I just tried again, and the same thing happened again, just as the file in the livetv-directory inched over two gigabytes.

The file kept growing for a minute or two after GBPVR had stopped responding, but then stopped at 2.12 gigabytes.

I use NFTS. There's plenty of free space on my drive (> 100 gb).

The system uses WinXP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed. I didn't run into the same problem with 0.22, as I've watched several hours using it without any problems.

Anyways, thanks for all the hard work - this minor problem apart, I continue to be amazed at how well the program is coming along.

Things are done very differently to 0.22.

Can you conduct a few more tests and see if its always the same size?

Sure - I just tried again, and it froze once more, exactly when the file reached two gigabytes. I'll try again tomorrow and post the results here.

I also tried playing back some old recordings, that were all > 4 gb. They all played back smoothly.

jipe,

I had the same problem then I downloaded the larger blank.mpg file from this post. This fixed the problem with the freezing. However I now get pauses (mini-freezes) between shows.

I just installed the updated program last night and had the exact same problems noted above. I also have Win XP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed and the PVR-150 card.

MaX's comment only applies applies to the PVR350, so is not relevent to those using PVR150/PVR250.
