So I have a problem with timeshifting. I hit pause to activate timeshifting and the screen goes blank. The only way I can watch live tv again is to restart GBPVR. Whats going on? Also i am a newbie so if you ask me to post my logs, which files should I post. Thanks

Read the sticky post entitled 'posting support questions'.

I cant see any obvious error in your logs. When you press pausem does it create a video in your live tv buffer directory? If so, is that file growing?

another correction...i can watch live tv again if i watch another recorded video first. it appears that i cant watch time shifted video because its only a dark screen while the buffer is recording. if stop the buffer from recording (not thorugh the stop button) then i can watch live tv again.

Can you try a different video decoder? Its currently using the MainConcept MPEG Video Decoder.
