i found a newer version of the cyberlink mux. maybe this will help. how do i remove the old version (being the first one in the list is what is used)

here is what mux checker says:
GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\Documents and Settings\Mitchell\Desktop\AutoDVRconvert v1.3\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0813

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: c:\windows\system32\THMpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.2022

If you're running WinXP SP1 or higher, you will also be able to use the built-in DVR-MS mux filter

===================
figured .2022 would be better

i was trying
regsvr32 -u c:\windows\system32\mpg2splt.ax but it is still listed. also sometimes that mux the version turns into funny chars.

I dont know if its contributing to your problem, but the only funny thing I noticed in your logs was that it was trying to use two audio decoders at the same time, most like because 'MPEG Audio Decoder' you'd selected didnt do AC3 audio. Try selecting a different MPEG2 audio decoder to get rid of the extra one.

Quote:17:04:42.870 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
17:04:42.870 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
17:04:42.870 VERBOSE - MPEG Audio Decoder
17:04:42.870 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Sections and Tables
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - GB-PVR DVB Subtitles
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - GB-PVR PSI Parser
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - CyberLink Audio Decoder
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - Zulu HDTV Video Decoder(BDA)
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
17:04:42.886 VERBOSE - FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner

Argh - dont do that!!! Why would you deregister the Microsoft 'MPEG2 Demultiplexer' filter? Fix it by running:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mpg2splt.ax

You can deregister the old mux with:

regsvr32 /u "C:\Documents and Settings\Mitchell\Desktop\AutoDVRconvert v1.3\MpgMux.ax"

That said, the Microsoft DVR-MS mux seems to work the best with ATSC HDTV, so I'd recommend using that instead...

There are no virus in GB-PVR. We've had nearly 5000 downloads in the last couple of days. We would have heard more about it if there was.

I cant speak for any other utilities (AutoDVRconvert etc) or codec packs you might have tried.

ok so i completely reformated my compuer with XP and did all the updates. Hopefully this will help my problems

What i did so far:
  • installed boths cards drivers
  • installed .net 2.0
  • installed GB-PVR
  • configured cards in GB-PVR
(not sure if i did this right but i created one zap2it account with both
    antenna and cable as sources)
  • mapped digital channels to EPG
  • installed Cyberlink mux from TwinhanDTV 2.64 build
  • installed xvid codec
  • installed ffdshow

settings:
  • Video decoder:Zulu
  • Audio:default
  • Audio Renderer:default
  • VMR9
  • checked Use FFDSHOW post processing
  • BDA Multiplexer: MS DVR-MS

Right now the cable is work, of course, bit i cant tune any digital signals. When i try to watch a digital station GB-PVR freezes. also the cable is being stretched to widescreen.

What should i do now. I dont want to F this one up.

Thanks,
Mitchell
