How do people normally take gbpvr screenshots? I use vncsnapshot since I also use vnc to manage the mouseless/keyboardless htpc. Just wondering if there was a better way.

I usually just press Alt-PrintScrn, then paste it into MSPaint or some other app.

I see you are running an Nvidia chipset, not sure about those, but the ATI Omega drivers include a third party tray tool program that includes a screen shot functionality activated by a hotkey. You might want to look into the drivers for Nvidia and see if they have anything like that. Or possibly if you have a keyboard hooked up, print screen?

If gbpvr itself had a screenshot hotkey then we could trigger it with the remote. The image filename would have to be pre-configured and auto-incremented each time. Too many bells and whistles I know...

Sorry, but that not the sort of thing I'd add to GB-PVR.

As I said above, its already easy to produce a screen shot those for those rare situations when you need to...

I don't have a mouse or keyboard so the problem is starting up mspaint, pasting the image, saving as some filename with the remote. I guess I could install a printscreen utility and configure their hotkey to a remote button.

again surely this could be done with a remote

you just need to setup the keys to do the following

printscreen from gbpvr
close gbpvr
open mspaint
paste screen shot
CTRL+S to save
button to press save
then close mspaint

or you can setup some sort of script (i use autoit) for automating the last part from open mspaint on.

email me if you want more details.
