LiveTV on client?

The only really significant issue has been identified so far, was the bug that was not releasing a tuner after exiting live tv, but I provided a patch for that, and also updated the main installer to include the patch. Fingers crossed that no major new issues pop up...

Follow-up:
I did some investigating on the wireless network-settings ( well just tried out about every available setting). Restarted the server (had been running for ~2 weeks) and switced to streaming mode for the receiving client (which I tried before). Now it seems to work rather well.
I noticed that in streaming mode there is a lot less traffic (~4x) from the client to the server. I think that makes a lot of difference. I just don't know how well full-duplex the wireless is.
Well I'm just glad that it works now. Now I can concentrate on the video settings on the client. I had never much to do with that because we always watched through the MVP.
Well, as we say in Holland: it keeps you of the street. (= out of trouble)

If you're using analog card (PVR150 etc), did you try reducing the bitrate for live tv on your server? This may help you over wireless.

I am, and I'd like to try this, but can't find any references to / work out for myself how. Can you point me in the right direction?

Even with the stuttering, the client version is already well ahead of everything else I've tried to stream live TV (Orb was the best but no comparison).

I've spent many happy hours playing with different combinations of drivers, codecs and config settings to get the server working. I was almost disappointed that the client worked straight away, but my wife was chuffed to get the TV in bed I've been promising !!

Go into your capture source settings, then into the recording source settings (where you selected the card type). You'll see the quality profiles listed at the bottom of the screen. Select 'live tv' then hit the settings button.
