I upgraded to 98.8 and switched to SQLite - went very smoothly, and my IR issues from before are solved.

Now I am having standby issues:

If I put the system into Standby from the System menu, all is well. It will wake to do recordings, and will wake manually when I press the power button on the PC.

When GBPVR wakes the system to do recordings, it goes to sleep again after COMSKIP has run, and will wake again to do the next scheduled recording. BUT if I try to wake the system with the power button, it gets all locked up. The power light goes on, there is some brief disk activity, and then it freezes. There is no video signal present, the keyboard, mouse and IR will not respond. I have to force the system to shut down by holding the power button, and then start it again.

I have the EPG update on "manual" since it has been causing no end of trouble, and updating manually is no hassle.

I have no idea where to start with this, help would be appreciated.

Check your xp-config-energy settings. If the system goes into standby automaticly does it go in to standby or in to hibernate?
If you do it yourself via system menu, do you put it in standby or hibernation?
Here is more info that might help you: http://aumha.org/win5/a/shtdwnxp.php
Good luck. (you'll need it probablySmile )

I never use the power button to bring a system out of standby.
In my experiance it is a little flakey.

I allways use the keyboard on one system & the MCE remote on another system.

Works every time.
