Sorry, I dont know. It could be the quartz.dll thing described in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=5600
Have you tried mainstream decoders like Cyberlink, Intervideo?

Hmm
I have a HVR-1300 up and running with no real problems (DVB only). I use the InterVideo Non CSS video and audio decoder, updated to some recent version(hscSMD05.exe) from Hauppauge driver/application2.5D,ver E is the current one . I use the cyberlink mux (THMpgMux.ax) from TwinhanDTV 2.64 Build 01-02.zip

Hi Spitfire i can seewhere you set video and audio decoder, but what/where is this mux thing. Also have you had to play with quartz.dll by going back to directx 9b ?

Hi
I use the standard quartz.dll as installed. The mux is used to combine the audio and video together, DVR-MS is one mux and cyberlink is an other. There is mux checker installed together with the rest of GB.PVR that you can run. This sticky thread cover mux questions http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=7229. As I want mpeg files for my MVP I set the Cyberlink mux on the Misc tab in the config app. The list does not tell you what muxes is installed. In the logs you will see what mux is selected.

Terrible dropouts and audio/video sync. If I recorded any HD channels the Cyberlink MUX locked up within a few minutes and spiked CPU at 100%, requiring the tender ministrations of TaskMan "kill process." "Live" (i.e. timeshifted) TV for my MediaMVP seemed to work OK but only with SD channels. I switched back to the native M$ MUX and the resulting DVR-MS files are fine. When I need to convert to straight .mpg format I use VideoReDo, it is quick and speedy. I realize that is not viable for "live" MVP viewing but it was the lesser of two evils in my case. Just another data point...

just run BDA MUX CHECKER and it says
NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE. I take it this is causing the issue, how do i fix this

thecritic Wrote:just run BDA MUX CHECKER and it says If you haven't already, read this. Then search the forums for "mux file" "bda multiplexer" and similar terms. Might also try Googling for the file names once you get them from the forums. I tried a Cyberlink multiplexer that I downloaded embedded in a trial version of some software package but it didn't work all that great. I really really wish I could remember what that software was so I could point you to it. Assuming you're running XP SP2 you'll still have access to the embedded M$ mux even when DECCHECK says there are none, but you'd get DVR-MS files for all your recordings. FWIW they play fine in my GB-PVR install.
