Hello,
I'm sort of new to gbpvr (I tried it awhile back with an ATI Wonder Elite (Theatre 550) and never could get it working right.
Anyway, I have several problems with an ATI 650 setup. First, it records static on the OTA ATSC channels when I try to timeshift. Seems not to tune the channel correctly. Second, look at the jpegs attached and you will see what it looks like when tuned to any atsc channel. The analog cable channels seem to work fairly well but I haven't tried recording them yet.The first two pictures show a previously tuned frozen channel on the bottom with the currently tuned channel (running but in a box within the gbpvr window) on top. Very bizarre behavior.
In config when installing, the scan was able to find every atsc channel in my area, preview them for mapping to EPG and I was able to tune them in and watch on the first run. After restarting the computer, what you see in the pictures has been happening since.
Please have a look and tell what I'm doing wrong!
I really need to get this right since the ATI PVR software is total junk! My machine should have enough horsepower to do this (see below)
Pentium M 750 (stable at 2.13 ghz, benches faster than my P4 Northwood 3.2) installed on an Asus P4P800 SE, using the Asus CT-479 adapter.
6600GT AGP
1 gig PC3200 RAM
ATI 650 Pro
Several HDD's (7200, 8 meg cache)
Thanks for any help and advice.
